This was a Signature guitar build for Maybury Artist Kit Trigg

Kit had a hankering for a blue Flying V for a long time, so when he became involved with Maybury, there was really only one option for his custom build.

This striking guitar has a reclaimed spruce body made from the disused noggins from house renovation, they have been glued up and cut into the unmistakable iconic flying V shape, before getting that striking Teal Blue Shou Sugi Ban finish.

The neck has been made from a contrasting figured cherry wood, with a 24.75” rose wood fretboard, with 24 medium jumbo frets and a 12” radius.

Tuners, bridge and stop are all Nickel Gotoh items and they have been matched with nickel covered Sunbear Pickups Sabbath Humbuckers.

The electrics are all vintage cloth covered wire with CTS potentiometers, an Orange Drop Capacitor and vintage style three way switch.

Kit put in a special request for the dice knobs and the number combined add up to nine which is his lucky number.

So its obviously visually striking but it also sounds amazing, the Spruce body giving ridiculously long sustain, and those Sunbear Sabbaths proving to be really versatile pickups. Bright clean tones and really coming alive with some dirt, but still retaining clarity without the usual muddiness you get from lesser humbuckers.
