Our popular Maybury Cholla Offset, but taken to the next level!
From the quilted Sapele neck to the amazing Poplar Burl top the quality of the wood used in the construction of this guitar are exquisite.
The body is carved with a semi hollow chamber and is made from a beautifully grained piece of Elm with Sapele and Burl Poplar racing stripes. The body is capped off with a book matched Poplar Burl top dressed with a complimentary tortoise shell binding.
The beautiful quilted Sapele neck is paired with a figured Ebony fret board. The beauty of this combination is that the brightness of the ebony works with the warmth of the Sapele giving a balanced but rich tone to the guitar.
From a hardware perspective, the guitar has nickel Schaller hardware, their Devinci tuners and my favorite STM roller bridge, and instead of a standard stop this guitar has brass ferrules and a string through set up.
Pickups are from Fletcher with their Blender Humbucker in the bridge with a matched Strat single coil in the neck. The Blender combines a classic wind coil with a hot modern wind, giving it its own unique tone.
Electrics are CTS pots with a coil split for the humbucker on the tone pot and a .33 Orange drop cap as a 1/2 way house for the single coil and humbucker pickups.
As always its finished off with custom made Maybury truss rod cover, neck plate and pickup rings.
