Bold. Uncompromising. Built to shake the ground.

This is no ordinary bass. Custom-built for Arfa — frontman and bassist of Brighton’s own “Bones Ate Arfa” — it’s an instrument with as much personality as the music it drives.

Arfa came to us looking for something different. Something that could capture the wild, genre-blurring energy of their psychedelic street punk meets desert rock sound. He already had the V. He already had the Explorer. The natural evolution? The X.

We crafted a one-of-a-kind body from reclaimed spruce, shaped into our reimagined take on the X-style silhouette. It’s finished in distressed lime green chalk paint — raw, loud, and alive — with a custom pink leopard print pickguard, cut into Arfa’s signature star design seen across all his instruments.

The neck is solid oak, torched to draw out the grain’s natural beauty, then sealed with a smooth, polymer oil finish. Paired with a rich rosewood fretboard, 21 jumbo gold frets, and our signature aluminium-and-resin fret markers, it’s built for performance and playability.

Every detail matters. A chrome Gotoh high-mass bridge. Matching sealed tuners. A hand-machined brass control plate. And a Strat-style boat jack for a clean, stage-ready finish.

Inside, it’s just as powerful. Vintage cloth wiring, CTS pots, a Sprague Orange Drop cap, and a Kent Armstrong Claymore Bass Soapbar — delivering gritty lows and a punch that doesn’t hold back.

This bass doesn’t just play. It commands.

It growls.

It roars.

And it looks every bit as fierce as it sounds.
