A custom built 12 string guitar with a beautiful nitrocellulose honey burst.
This was a custom build for Alex Tracey ……… Alex wanted something traditional, but unique to himself, so we went with a a modified Saguaro using reclaimed and native woods with a beautiful Nitro finish.
The body is made from reclaimed African Mahogany which came from the stair case in a 1970s office building that was being demolished. The top and neck are both locally sourced English spalted sycamore and the fretboard is African red wood. It has a 25.5” scale length with Medium jumbo frets.
All nickel hardware, with alternating buttons so you can tell which string you are tuning, a 12 string tune-o-matic bridge and stop, and bladed filtertrons from Mojo Pickups.
The electrics are all vintage cloth covered wire with CTS potentiometers, an Orange Drop Capacitor and a Gibson style three way switch.
The combination of woods and those bladed filterons give this guitar something unique over other electric 12 strings, its super light and resonant and has a jangle to its tone that is all its own.
